The food here tastes great. Quiet, clean, and quick service to your table. My local favorite for years.

Great portions, fast service you get what you pay for. My favorite are the salted pepper pork chop and the asparagus beef. Not bad at all for one of those days you can decide and wants a greasy chinese food or the only choice you have left if the white elephant have a long line and you are hungry and wants something fast.

Three of us went out to celebrate a special occasion, and decided to try a new Chinese restaurant. We've been looking for another good, local place but, sadly, I don't think we will ever go back. First, the staff were all very friendly and attentive - which makes having to write this all the more difficult. We ordered, and the meal started with the Pot Stickers and Honey BBQ Spareribs. Spareribs were actually very tasty (if a bit too fatty), but the Pot Stickers were possibly the worst we had ever tasted. And we have all had some not very good versions. Sweet and Sour Pork was just OK, but the Mu Shu Chicken wouldn't even rate a single star. The Walnut Prawns and Dry Braised Beef Chow Fun were pretty decent, but their special combination Fried Rice Yang Chow Style was very bland, and was mostly rice, with minimal other ingredients.Oh, and their Tea was also very odd. Not horrible, but also not really like most oriental teas.We had such great hopes, but have scratched this restaurant off of our lists.

inedible,we ordered the lunch specials (sweet and sour pork and Mongolian beef along with crap and cheese puffs) neither of the lunch specials were edible, well, i ate some rice...not sure if my beef, was actually beef, it was mushy....the crap puffs are a weird curry mix...it wasn't bad, just not what i ordered..will not order again

We weren't impressed with the dishes that we tried here. On a 5-star scale, we would give the hot & sour soup 3 stars (average), the general's chicken 1 star (dry, tough, and heavily breaded), and the Mongolian beef 3.5 stars (tender and appetizing). Given the mediocre quality of the food, the price was somewhat steep. Our bill averaged out to around $15 per person.

I am commenting on their service. THEY SUCK. I specifically made a delivery order for 6:30 pm. I receive a call at 5:30 pm saying they were there. I live in an in law and RICKY, the delivery man, asked if he could leave the food with the people living upstairs. First of all, I do not feel it is right to even bother the people who live above me because Golden Wok could not make a delivery properly. I am very irate about this situation.

We were staying at a local hotel and based on yelp reviews we ordered takeout from this restaurant. All I can say is, I wish it was near my own home. Fabulous food fabulous service great prices huge portions. I can only say good things about this experience.

I'm not going to comment on the food, but I won't patronize this restaurant due to a lack of respect.Woke up one morning and discovered they were passing out menus and ads in my neighborhood... Ok I'm used to them being on the door (they do this all the time and the littering is annoying), but whoever was in our neighborhood used a rubber band to strap their menu to the door handle of our brand new car.Its windy in South City and if we wouldn't have noticed, it could have scratched up the door. No common sense.

Quoted 45 mins for delivery. Almost TWO hours later, nothing. I'll spare the details (including them lying to me when I called 5x) but whatever. All you had to do was own up to your mistakes. On to the next...

I got a bunch of food for $30. This is definitely going to last me a few days. The calamari was great, but I have yet to try a bad one. I also got pork buns, sweet and sour pork, and the general chickenI have seen people post that the general chicken was good, but I have to say it wasn't the best. Maybe I just need to give it another chanceAll in all good customer service and fast delivery!

Great service, friendly staff. Food is better than most Chinese restaurant we've been to and tastes good too. We go here often now.

The prices are good but the food was not very good when I went there for lunch. The steamed rice was dry. The eggplant dish was very mushy and lukewarm. The tea was also lukewarm and it smelled like bleach. Do not recommend it.

We order from New Golden Wok on a pretty regular basis as we love delivery! I would have rated them five stars if I wrote this last year but we have been a little disappointed lately. I think they have new owners and some of the dishes have changed a bit. One major positive is their speedy delivery. I swear I have hung up the phone and less than 15 minutes later out piping hot food was at our door. You also get a ton of food for the money. We always have leftovers. the bbq pork chow mein is a favorite and we normally love the generals chicken but it has changed a bit lately and is less flavorable. Overall I will keep ordering from them and would recommend them if you want a fast hot meal delivered.
